‘My experience working for The Copas Partnership at the Henley Regattas was a fantastic insight into the world of event management, and particularly outdoor events. The diversity of the internship meant that I was able to rotate across many different roles and gain valuable experience in many aspects of events coordination. During the course of the internship I was trusted with my own projects, which I found was one of the most exciting and most rewarding parts of the month I worked for Copas. I immediately felt that I was part of the team, and having ownership of smaller activities within the larger event gave me a purpose which helped me to gain the confidence to make a real contribution towards the regatta events as a whole.

The internship affords the applicant the opportunity to work closely with a diverse range of events suppliers this in itself is a fantastic opportunity, as it is possible to see how other events organisations manage themselves when on site, as well as working within the Copas structure.

The experience and skills I gained during the internship has contributed greatly to my employability, and directly resulted in my finding work immediately after leaving the position. It helped me make many useful contacts, but above all I had great fun at the regattas and would recommend this internship to anyone who is outgoing, active, and willing to work hard.’
