New for 2011 - Jongleurs comes to the Courtyard on Regatta Friday

The UK's number one comedy company is coming to The Courtyard Enclosure during Henley Royal Regatta ! Come along with your friends and enjoy two hours of top stand-up with the biggest and brightest stars on the comedy circuit.

Jongleurs, the comedy club which launched the careers of Jack Dee, Paul Merton, Rory Bremner and many other household names, continues its highly successful tour of UK theatres by bringing some of its hottest and most popular comedians to The Courtyard Enclosure during Henley Royal Regatta. Tickets for these nights go like lightning, so book yours now and get ready for one of the funniest nights you'll have this year!

There will be bar food available on the night as well as a fully licensed bar.

Line Up

With the line-up now in this evening is set to be a side-splitting evening with comedy from each corner of the globe!

Imran Yousuf- “The New King of Comedy” (The Eastern Eye)
Renowned for his stinging, lyrical street-slang verbiage and super-high energy performance that triggers an eruption of belly-aching laughter.  Born in Mombasa, Kenya and raised in the UK for the most part with a brief stint at school in the USA, and having travelled much of the world including Israel/Palestine, Jordan and Saudi Arabia during the Lebanon Crisis in 2006, Imran encompasses a rich multitude of cultural assets from across the planet that defines him as a youthful, energetic and original voice.

 

Sean Meo- “The thinking man’s comedian” (Dead Pan)
Former Time Out Comedian Of The Year (1998), Sean is widely acknowledged as one of the finest performers and writers on the UK comedy circuit. A former professional snooker player, he turned to a career in comedy in 1989. He has performed all over the world and made three appearances at the Montreal Comedy Festival (2003/2001/1998).

 

Noise Next Door- “Five slick improvisers…no one can fail to be engaged by the vivacious sense of fun.” (Chortle)
The Noise Next Door are an improvised comedy troupe who have been performing together since 2005. Transforming audience suggestions into fantastically funny scenes and songs in the blink of an eye, The Noise Next Door will have you in stitches with their perfect blend of ludicrous characters, witty one-liners, epic stories and musical mayhem. These five slightly posh blokes are based in Brighton, but are touring venues around the world, with their distinctive brand of off-the-cuff humour.

 

Tony Hendriks- “The white bloke that talks Jamaican”
Recently voted best International Comedian at the UK's BECA Awards, Tony is a multi award-winning comedian, whose other awards include 'Best Jamaican Comedian' (two years running) a 'Race in the Media Award', ITI Best Actor Award and Best Supporting Actor.

 

 

Rich Wilson
Rich Wilson has loved comedy ever since his older next door neighbour gave him a cassette of Eddie Murphy-Delirious. "It was the most mind blowing thing I'd ever heard.  My young ears had never heard language like it."  He is a regular at all the major comedy clubs up and down the country including Jongleurs, The Comedy Cafe and The Big Night Out to name but a few. As well as being able to deliver a good strong set, with subject matters ranging from being a young father to observational material on the absurdities of life in general, he is rapidly becoming one of the most in demand comperes in the country with his ability to think on his feet and tame even the toughest of crowds with his likable, charming manner. With Rich Wilson you are guaranteed a fantastic evening of top class entertainment.

 

Curtis Walker- “There’s no substitute for seeing him live” (The Guardian)
Curtis Walker is 'The Don' of black comedy. He is a multi-talented performer and his indefinable comedy "moves an audience in a way I've never seen a standup do before" William Cook - The Guardian.
As a standup, Curtis has performed up and down the country in some of its finest venues (and toilets!). Across the waters, he has made audiences laugh in America, Spain, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Holland and most recently, the Middle East.
